Things to Do in Cape Coral & Fort Myers in June 2026
June in Southwest Florida means the real locals come out to play. The tourists have thinned, the snowbirds are long gone, and the people who actually live here get to enjoy this place at its most laid-back. The event calendar is lighter in June — but what's on it is genuinely worth your time. From summer passes that pay for themselves to three big live music nights and a beloved community fishing tournament, here's your June guide to Cape Coral and Fort Myers.
Summer Deals & Passes
Save money all summer long
June is the perfect time to lock in a summer pass before the heat really kicks in. These three are worth every penny.
If you have kids, a Sunsplash season pass is one of the best investments you can make for the summer. Unlimited visits for the entire season, plus 30-minute early entry before the park opens, and 20% off all food and drinks inside. Cape Coral residents get an extra $5 off at the front gate with a valid ID. Passes are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis — don't wait on this one.

There's also a Summer Fun Pass+ for just $20 more that adds reservation access for busy schedules. Pays for itself in just three visits. Note: Father's Day, June 21, is a blackout date.

Fish, network, and give back
A three-day industry event that's also one of the best fishing tournaments of the summer.
Hosted by the Lee Building Industry Association, this beloved annual tournament is part competitive fishing, part networking event, part party — and entirely for a great cause. Three nights of inshore fishing targeting Snook, Redfish, and Ladyfish, with $10,000+ in prizes, open bars, and a live auction benefiting Builders Care, which provides critical home repairs for low-income Lee County residents. If you're in real estate, construction, or the building trades, this is the community event of the summer.
